It’s that time of year where everyone either throws or attends a holiday party. Whether it is your company, family or even friends you have been or will be invited to a few holiday parties. So the common question comes to mind, what do I wear? Well there is always the standard holiday festive ruby dress or a Christmassy shade of jade and, of course, the repulsive holiday sweater we were all forced to wear at one point in our lives. This holiday should be different. Ditch the candy cane red and royal bright blue for something more unexpected….white.
There has always been that unwritten rule of white only being worn during the spring and summer seasons. I am here to tell you disregard that rule. The fashion world is definitely making strides to keep white going all year round. Celebrities such as The Vampire Diaries, Kat Graham, E! Fashion Police co-host Kelly Osborne, Socialite Kim Kardashian, Actress Sarah Jessica Parker and even the fabulous Beyonce have all been spotted wearing white threads after Labor Day.
However, wearing white after Labor Day can be tricky. You do not want to look to summery. The key when wearing all white or off-white is styling and accessories. Make your dress season appropriate based off what jewelry you wear or handbag you’re caring. For instance the following white dresses are beautiful on their own, but take it a step further. Accent your white dresses with crimson colored accessories such as pumps, handbag or even a shawl.
