Take an intimate venue and pair it with music, style enthusiasts, uptown chic apparel, and create an amazing fashion experience. Last Saturday, Miss Kandid K and I attended Crystal Nichole Boutique’s Live Fashion Galley Mixer and it was truly a night to remember. It was more than just a display of clothes, it was an opportunity to experience what Crystal Nichole Boutique is about and network with fashion lovers of the Triangle.

I want to take a moment and tell you how I met Crystal. I was in the car, headed downtown to meet a friend for sushi, when I spotted a mannequin wearing the most interesting powder blue dress. I quickly focused my attention back on the road and found a place to park. As I approached the door of the sushi restaurant, I gazed up the street in the direction of the powder blue dress. I decided sushi would have to wait. I walked into Cute Stylez Boutique and was amazed by what I saw. Everything was out of the ordinary. I didn’t buy anything that day, but told the owner Crystal that I would be back. It was the first time I ever told someone that and meant it. This past August, Cute Stylez hooked me up with a unique orange silhouette dress for my trip to Miami. The dress definitely set South Beach on FIRE…..

OK now back to the Live Fashion Gallery Mixer :-)

Cute Stylez Boutique is now Crystal Nichole Boutique. Owner, Crystal McCullers has added very versatile fall pieces to her boutique collection. I’m all about being able to wear one piece of clothing multiple ways. The outfits displayed at the Fashion Gallery Mixer were very trendy, yet each presented the opportunity to make the outfit your own. My favorite look was a red lapel blazer paired with black liquid leggings, and a black and white sleeveless blouse. The blouse was accented with a high and low hem and triangle cut-out back.

The ensemble that sparked the most interest amongst guests was a long black and gold maxi dress, worn by model Eryka Edwards.  The long sleeves, deep v-neck, and flowing fabric made this dress stand out of the crowd.  This style is perfect for women of all sizes.

This event definitely lived up to its title, LIVE Fashion Gallery Mixer.  Everyone including the models mixed and mingled.  Imagine a fashion show jumping off the runway into your lap.  It was great!  The models were very friendly and answered all questions about the garments they were wearing.  There were raffles, giveaways (I won a $25 Gift Certificate!), and performances by vocal artist, Ashley Mar Shell throughout the night.  Thanks Crystal for a wonderful night of fashion.
