The “Pour It Up” singer is back and taking another stab at fashion designer. Teaming up again with River Island, UK’s top streetwear brand, Rihanna launched a behind the scenes promo for her second collection (above). The summer collection is scheduled to drop May 25^th in hopes of getting a better reaction from critics.  Even though the first collection left fashion enthusiast severely disappointed, (Read Here) the Rihanna Navy took the collection by storm completely selling it out.

The video features Rihanna and lead designer, Adam Shelman, as they complete the finishing touches on upcoming collection. Now Rihanna claims the fashion line is for all women, but we have yet to see any items in plus sizes. Oh well….

The biggest secret in the fashion world has officially been leaked. When you see celebrities sashaying down the red carpet in costly designer dresses they’re actually borrowing their dress for the night! Now, you can too! With websites like Rent The Runway, you can look like a total bombshell for a lot less. For four to eight days you can rent an $1895 Versace dress for only $285! Those dazzling earrings and necklaces you swoon after? You can rent those too!

Hello Dapper Dolls!

It is graduation season and everyone wants to be in style, whether they are crossing the stage or supporting graduates from the audience.  You all know how much I LOVE thrifting and yesterday, May 8th I pulled a fantastic 90% thrifted outfit together.   

Due to the weather my initial blazer and dress combo was denied, so I updated my outfit to a yellow silk blazer, printed blouse, and black high waist pants.  All of these items were purchased from Goodwill.  I also wore a gold statement necklace purchased from a local consignment shop paired with gold and turquoise earrings purchased from Goodwill. 

I LOVED this outfit.  I really liked how the yellow blazer complemented my crème and turquoise printed blouse.  I simply felt good in the ensemble and that is the epitome of personal style.

Congratulations to my cousin Auriel Holman for receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro!

Auriel wore a sleeveless black and white color block dress and black peep-toe sling back heels.  I think she looked absolutely FAB, don’t you?
